GENERAL RENTAL INFORMATION

DRIVER (S) PERSONAL QUALIFICATION

Each driver must present a driving licence in her/his name valid in the country (driving licences in characters not readable in the country of rental must be accompanied by an International Driving Licence) held for a minimum period of one year; the client must be 21 years old to drive cars group A, B, C, D, M, N; 25 years old the others car groups. With the consent of the renter and paying an extra charge, the vehicle may be driven by other persons.

FINANCIAL QUALIFICATION

The payment of the estimated rental charges and of the possible charges resulting from damage to or loss of the rented vehicle must be warranted at time of rental. VISA, Master Card, Diners and American Express cards are accepted in the limits authorised by the credit card company. Only the A, B, C vehicle categories may be rented against cash or cheque payment; an additional reference is required and a deposit covering the estimated rental charges and the accident/ theft excess has to be paid in advance

FUEL

Our rates do not include fuel. Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and our customer must pay for any fuel missing at the end of a rental plus the refuelling service € 10,00 + VAT 20%.

RESTRICTION OF USE

The countries to which the vehicle may not be taken are the following: Greek, Turkey, Asian Countries, former Yugoslavia, Africa, West-Europe Countries

VEHICLE RETURN

Minimum of rental one day, charged in periods of 24 hours with a 59-minute grace period. For example over 25 hours counts as 2 days. For weekend rate there is no tolerance. In case of rental extension Customer is obliged to advise Tropea office where rental started.

WEEKEND RATE

From Friday 4 pm till next Monday 9 am.

ONE-WAY RENTALS

One-way rentals must be agreed in advance; our cars can be dropped off in others Italian cities or European cities upon the payment of an additional charge.

CANCEL A BOOKING

If a booked vehicle is not picked up the client will pay € 100,00 + VAT 20% for vehicles group A-B-C-D-F-F-M-N-O and € 150,00 + VAT 20% for groups G-H-I-L-P and truck when the booking is not cancelled 24 hours in advance.

VEHICLES MAINTENANCE

Normal maintenance, oil and lubrication are included in the rates. Incurred roadside expenses, which have been approved by a Tropea station, will be refunded upon presentation of the original receipts. Client is responsible for highway fees and Police fines.

INSURANCE

Third Party Insurance (RCA) is already included in our rate and guarantees covers up to € 2.590,00 for injury to third parties or their animals or damage to property belonging to third parties. If the Client has an accident must report it in 24-hour time at the starting Tropea office, preferably on the CID form. The insurance does not include:
Damage on the rented vehicle up to the deductible – for amount see table below – in the case of Client’s responsibility;
theft of luggage and personal belongings;
theft of the rented vehicle up to the deductible – for amount see table below.

DAMAGES

In our rate is included CDR coverage (Collision Damage reduction), this coverage that limits the Clients responsibility in case of damages on the car to a max amount that varies on the basis of the kind of rented vehicle and is indicated as “deductible”. Client will not be charged for the deductible if he produces a CID form of the accident, where it is clearly indicated the responsibility of the counterpart. The cost of the damage includes: spare part cost, labour, stop of the car, towing and all administrative expenses.

DEDUCTIBLE FOR DAMAGE

SUPER CDW

Client’s responsibility can be reduced to a maximum amount of € 150,00 + VAT 20% undersigning the option “Super CDW”, a coverage that covers damages on the rented vehicles in the case of accident. In the case of accident without third party, damages caused to rented cars are completely chargeable to Customer. If clients does not accept Super CDW will be chargeable for the cost of the damage up to the deductible. For truck rental the damages on the roof are never covered by insurance.

The purchase of these liability limitations is not compulsory and is subject to Direction’s approval.

THEFT AND FIRE

In our rate is included TP coverage (Theft Protection), this coverage that limits the Clients responsibility in case of theft or fire of the vehicle to a max amount that varies on the basis of the kind of rented vehicle and is indicated as “deductible”. This reduction of Client’s responsibility decades in the case of fraudulent intention or in the case the rented vehicles keys are not returned by the Client.

DEDUCTIBLE FOR THEFT OR FIRE

In all cases of total or partial theft of the vehicle Client is obliged to denounce the occurrence to the local authorities and hand over a copy of the Police report to Tropea main office in 24-hours time.

SUPER TPW

Client’s responsibility can be reduced to a maximum amount of € 150,00 + VAT 20% undersigning the option “Super TPW”. If clients does not accept Super TPW will be chargeable up to the deductible in case of total or partial theft of the rented vehicle.

The purchase of these liability limitations is not compulsory and is subject to Direction’s approval.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI)

Personal Accident Insurance provides coverage for the driver, and also for the passengers beyond the cover guaranteed by Third Party Insurance

REPLACEMENTS

In case of car accident customer can obtain a replacement vehicle from the main renting location upon availability and upon approval of Direction.

KEY – DOCUMENTS LOSS

If Keys are not returned the rental will be considered open until client hands over a statement of loss or theft. In case of loss or theft there will be a charge of € 150,00 + VAT 20%. If documents are not returned the rental will be considered open until client hands over a statement of loss or theft. In case of loss or theft there will be a charge of € 180,00 + 20% VAT.

TAX

20% of the total amount.
